The L96AW British military sniper rifle is based on the PM rifle (known as the L96A1) developed by a British manufacturer established by a gold medalist in shooting competitions. The PM rifle has a stock with thumbholes that sandwich the metal chassis with resin panels; other advanced technology from shooting competitions at the time was applied such as fixing the action and chassis with screws. The AW (Arctic Warfare) version of the PM was submitted to a Swedish sniper rifle trial; it has been evolved into a firearm that operates even at minus 40 degrees, and has been adopted by the Swedish Army, British Army and Australian Army. This rifle and its variants have been recognized by military and law enforcement agencies around the world, and it's used in many countries, including Germany, Norway, Russian, South Korea and Japan.

This Little Armory kit uses green stock panels; the length can be adjusted with the monopod and spacer. The bolts are movable, and bolt parts with cartridge cases that reproduce the loading process are also included. The bipod can be opened and closed; the magazine parts can be attached and detached. The L17A1 scope Parker-Hale type bidpod, a genuine accessory for the L118A1, is also included.
